Job summary

MIINC Mechanical Contractors is seeking a BIM Detailer to design and create layouts for plumbing and mechanical systems to be installed in new and existing commercial and industrial buildings and sites. This role will coordinate system layouts during the design process with other trades and ensuring designs are accurately developed for field installation.

The BIM Detailer will work closely with project teams to interpret construction documents, develop detailed drawings and models, and generate

Qualifications

• Experience detailing plumbing and mechanical systems in commercial/industrial construction.
• Field experience in plumbing and mechanical trades preferred or equivalent detailing experience.
• Proficient with Autodesk products: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
• MS Office, Bluebeam, and Trimble or similar document management software skills.
• Ability to read construction documents from all trades.

Responsibilities

• Design and create layouts for plumbing and mechanical systems for commercial/industrial buildings.
• Coordinate layouts with other trades during the design process.
• Develop shop drawings with annotations for submission and approval.
• Create drawings and documentation for field installation.
• Generate BOMs and material/equipment schedules.
• Prepare as-built drawings for project close-out.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs, submittals, and schedules.
• Collaborate with project teams in a schedule-driven environment.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout design and documentation.
