Tessiers Mechanical Contractors, an APi Group company, is seeking a BIM Coordinator/VDC Technician to join our Midwest team in Sioux Falls. You will model, review, and coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems, creating constructible designs and field-ready drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CAD-related certification preferred; proficiency in Revit/Navis is acceptable in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 3+ years experience in BIM coordination or VDC roles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical HVAC duct/piping and plumbing systems materials.

Responsibilities

• Review MEP construction documents to create accurate construction models.
• Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems using fabrication parts in Revit and Navis.
• Produce field installation drawings and reports for field and fabrication use.
• Maintain communication with field teams, fabrication team, and project managers.
• Lead mechanical and plumbing teams in project coordination meetings.
• Set up projects in Revit and perform intermediate family editing.

Tessiers Mechanical Contractors (an APi Group company) is the Midwest’s premier mechanical contractor and isseeking someone with mechanical and plumbing experience and expertise to join our dynamic team as a BIM Coordinator/VDC Technician . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment, can work independently while modeling, and is dedicated to enhancing the constructability of mechanical and plumbing designs. This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of projects, identifying potential issues before construction begins to improve project execution and deliver value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review plumbing and mechanical construction documents and submittals to create corresponding construction models.
• Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems using fabrication parts in Revit and Navis.
• Produce field installation drawings and reports for field and fabrication shop use.
• Maintain close communication with field teams, fabrication team, and project managers.
• Lead mechanical and plumbing teams in project coordination meetings.
• Set up projects in Revit.
• Perform intermediate family editing in Revit.
• Associate’s degree or certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field (not necessary if proficiency in Revit and Navis is demonstrated).
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC duct and piping systems materials installation.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems materials installation.
• Design or field experience is strongly recommended but not necessary.
• Experience with the following software:
• Revit (high intermediate to expert)
• Navisworks (high intermediate)
• Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC)
• Microsoft Excel/Outlook
• AutoCAD Fabrication (recommended)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
