Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Digital Design Specialist to develop and manage discipline BIM models in alignment with the project scope and Digital Delivery Plan. You will create and maintain discipline content, coordinate with other disciplines, and produce precise drawings and diagrams using current 3D software.

You will ensure model health, adhere to standards, and support design reviews and 3D coordination processes across teams. Local candidates preferred for this role in Charleston, WV.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 3+ years related industry experience.
• Proficient with 3D design software and document management systems.
• Strong MS Office and communication tools proficiency.
• Experience with 3D coordination tools and attention to detail.
• Understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of Architect/Engineer or other technical professional.
• Model BIM elements per LOD in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
• Create and maintain discipline models, systems, content, and digital delivery output.
• Be technically competent with the discipline and software used for designs.
• Accurately model BIM elements in the correct constraints and environment.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams within scope, schedule and budget.
• Maintain the discipline model with project information, coordinates, scales, and views.
• Produce discipline-specific documentation with annotations on modeling output.
• Monitor and maintain company standards and model health.
• Coordinate designs with other discipline models through reviews and coordination.
