Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches seeks a Program Billing Specialist to coordinate billing and collections for Residential Family Support, DCF contracts, and Medicaid services for youth in care. You will enter store and vehicle sales, deposit payments, and maintain AR ledgers in coordination with the Accounting Manager.

The role includes monthly aging reports, follow-up on uncollected charges, and collaboration with Quality Improvement to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Ability to work with computers and software including word processing, spreadsheets, graphs, and databases.
• Analytical, math, and grammar skills to meet standard testing.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and procedural documents.
• Ability to apply common sense to instructions.
• Ability to perform calculations using a ten-key and databases.
• Effective writing of business letters and clear communication.
• Ability to work in a detailed technical environment and meet deadlines.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information.
• Valid Florida driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly billing for clients in custody of DCF, with aging reports and AR reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly aging report on uncollected charges and perform follow-up via calls/letters.
• Collaborate with staff on billing issues and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Maintain current contracts and relevant addendums; stay updated on software changes.
• Enter daily Thrift Store/Vehicle sales and related deposits into AR system.
• Serve as backup for Medicaid billing and reconcile Echo and FE aging.
