Job summary

Courser is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support invoicing and revenue operations for managed services, projects, and product sales. The role collaborates with finance, service, and account management teams to ensure accurate, timely, and contract-compliant client billing.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of billing or AR experience, proficiency with PSA tools and accounting software, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years billing, accounts receivable, or finance experience; MSP or IT services industry experience preferred.
• Experience with PSA tools (ConnectWise, Autotask, etc.) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with managed services contracts, recurring billing, and project invoicing models.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on client service.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience reconciling time and expense entries with service tickets or projects.
• Understanding of tax implications for IT services and products.
• Familiarity with CRM/ERP integration for billing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Generate and process accurate invoices for recurring managed services, time and materials, projects, and product sales.
• Review contracts, proposals, and service agreements to ensure billing aligns with client terms.
• Monitor billable time entries and expenses logged by technicians and validate before billing.
• Assist in maintaining billing schedules, recurring contract renewals, and price changes.
• Communicate with internal teams to clarify service details, contract terms, or discrepancies.
• Respond to client billing inquiries in a timely, professional manner and resolve any issues or disputes.
• Work with PSA tools to manage billing data and workflow.
• Support the month-end close process by preparing billing summaries and revenue reports.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
