Job summary

TNT-Crane- in Houston, TX is seeking a Billing Clerk to issue invoices and credit memos, update customer records, and prepare statements for customers and vendors. You will ensure accuracy and timeliness in accounts receivable and work closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of billing experience.
• A minimum of a year experience in billing refineries or construction industries.
• Advanced Accounting degree Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue invoices to customers.
• Draft invoice statements for customers and vendors.
• Issue monthly customer statements.
• Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information etc.
• Update customer files with issued invoices.
• Process credit memos.
• Create reports and present to managers.
• Track exceptions between the shipping log and invoice register.
• Manage debts or any other inconsistencies.
• Review accuracy of invoices prior to submission by performing various checks.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Provide management with daily status of completed functions.
• Communicate effectively within the company in order to resolve client inquiries.
• May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
