Accurate Personnel in Houston, TX is seeking a Billing Specialist to support billing operations, process invoices and payments, and resolve billing discrepancies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework preferred.
• Previous billing, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with billing or accounting software; transferable system experience will be considered.
• Familiarity with electronic billing and payment processing platforms preferred; platform experience is not required.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with advanced technology, telecommunications, or similar service providers is a plus.
• Ability to learn new accounting and billing systems as the company transitions to new software.

Responsibilities

• Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage billing transactions and maintain accurate customer account records.
• Review billing information and resolve discrepancies or missing information.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding billing questions and payment status.
• Process and track payments while maintaining accurate records.
• Assist with electronic billing and payment processing.
• Enter and maintain billing data in accounting and business systems.
• Review accounts and billing activity to identify errors or outstanding balances.
• Support month-end billing and reporting activities as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
