• Assists Accounting, Account Managers, Risk Placement Specialists and Processing.
• Performs invoicing, applies payments, verifies loans are accurate prior to submitting.
• Creates and maintains client files in the Agency Mgmt. System in accordance with procedures.
• Assists with billing questions from clients and insurance personnel with Accounting support as needed.
• Emails and/or mails documents to clients or insurance company personnel.

The Role

This is a support role, requiring the Billing Specialist to assist all departments within NFP by providing basic administrative and support functions in the team's day-to-day servicing of clients. While in this role, the Billing Specialist will be required to work diligently between all departments and will be required to, but not limited to, data-entry, receiving billing correspondence and account research. This role is perfect for an individual who can work well within a team or solo and also be able to adapt to various scenarios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gains exposure to clients and carrier contacts ; attends meetings and calls
• Assists wide range of other departments within NFP - Accounting, Account Managers, Risk Placement Specialists and Processing
• Performs invoicing, applying payments, verifying Finance Loans are accurate prior to submitting and servicing billing correspondence from the client or co-workers
• Creates and maintains client files in the Agency Mgmt. System in accordance with office procedures and works thoroughly within the system
• Assists with billing questions from clients and insurance company personnel with assistance from Accounting Dept. when necessary.
• Emailing and/or mailing documents to clients or insurance company personnel

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
• Ability to make sound decisions and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Adaptability and willingness to learn, with the ability to adjust to evolving processes and workflows
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word

Education and/or Experience:

• High School or equivalent
• More than 2 years related billing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The base salary range for this position is $36,000 - $40,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
