Job summary

F.E. Moran Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist for our Northbrook office. You will handle invoicing, AR coordination, and billing inquiries to support our fast-paced team.

Ideal candidates have prior billing experience, strong data-entry skills in ERP systems, and proficiency with MS Office. Penta knowledge is a plus, and you will collaborate with sales to ensure timely payments and accurate statements.

Qualifications

• Previous billing specialist or similar experience required.
• Proficient data entry and reporting in ERP, MS Office; Penta knowledge a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with problem-solving skills.
• Time management to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Compile and process pricing data for labor, materials, and miscellaneous items.
• Collaborate with sales to maintain accounts receivable and resolve creditor disputes.

You Are:

• EXPERIENCED: Previous experience as a Billing Specialist or similar position required
• TECHNICAL: Proficient in data entry and reporting in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Email; working knowledge of Penta software is a plus
• ANALYTICAL: Critical thinker with strong attention to detail; ability to problem-solve with creative solutions
• A SELF-STARTER: Utilize time management to successfully manage multiple competing priorities; ask questions and seek out information
• A COMMUNICATOR: Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, to varied levels of audiences

What You’ll Do:

• MANAGE COSTS: Compile and process information such as labor, material, and miscellaneous pricing
• COORDINATE: Collaborate with sales professionals to maintain accounts receivable; resolve disagreements between the company and its creditors
• ACCOUNTING FUNCTIONS: Issue invoices and distribute electronically; request payment of pending debts and negotiate payment arrangements when needed; prepare and submit statements
• DOCUMENT: Maintain records of client information, payments, and prepare and submit statements
