The Billing Specialist turns contracts, time records and usage reports into invoices and ensures payments. This is a full-time remote role serving clients across the United States.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in billing or accounts receivable.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or NetSuite.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly invoices from contracts, time records and usage reports.
• Check billable hours with project leads before invoices go out.
• Apply payments.
• Issue credit memos.
• Follow up on past-due invoices by email and phone.
• Produce the month-end accounts receivable aging report.

Job description

Our clients pay in different ways: fixed fees for a build, monthly support retainers, hosting charged by usage. The Billing Specialist turns contracts, time records and usage reports into correct invoices and makes sure they get paid. Remote, anywhere in the U.S., full-time.

You will

• Prepare monthly invoices from contracts, time records and usage reports
• Check billable hours with project leads before invoices go out
• Apply payments
• Issue credit memos
• Follow up on past-due invoices by email and phone
• Produce the month-end accounts receivable aging report

You have

• One to two years in billing or accounts receivable
• QuickBooks Online or NetSuite
• Excel or Google Sheets

Also good:

billing for professional services or software subscriptions, Stripe or Chargebee, collections.
