Job summary

Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is looking for a supervisor to lead billing operations and ensure efficient payment processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable management, with at least four years of experience in medical settings, including supervisory experience.

This role requires knowledge of AR with third-party insurance and proficiency in MS Office. Familiarity with Electronic Practice Management systems such as NextGen or EPIC is highly preferred.

Qualifications

Job description

Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Billing Manager, this position is responsible for the oversight of the daily operations, processes, and projects relating to payment processing, collections of all third‑party and self‑pay accounts receivable, maintaining days in AR within set guidelines, and other tasks assigned to Patient Account Representatives (PAR) I through III. In addition to performing daily functions, the supervisor will provide front‑line support and assistance to billing staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, including answering questions, prioritizing tasks, and assuring work completion.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent education required
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a medical setting, including two (2) years in a supervisory role
• Knowledge and experience working in AR with third‑party insurance and FQHC billing and follow‑up required
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 required
• Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
• Experience with Electronic Practice Management/Medical Records system required (NextGen or EPIC preferred)
