Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enter charges accurately to ensure proper records and fast payments.
• Initiate private pay collections after insurance issues.
• Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations; verify benefits when required.
• Prepare, review, and transmit claims via billing software.
• Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycles.
• Check insurance payments for accuracy and contract compliance.
• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances.
• Communicate policy changes to management and liaise with payers as needed.
• Assist patients, insurers, or staff with billing inquiries and resolutions.
• Maintain knowledge of reimbursement requirements for assigned payers.
