Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Customer Service Resolution Specialist to handle and resolve patient cost questions, balances, and billing inquiries with courtesy. The call center is the primary contact point for inquiries, using billing and medical retrieval systems to resolve guarantor/patient questions.

You will perform data entry, outreach to resolve open inquiries, and provide information about financial assistance for uninsured or under-insured patients, while maintaining positive relationships

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in medical billing and patient inquiries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve patient billing inquiries and responsibility balances.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships.
• Perform data entry and use multiple billing systems to resolve issues.
• Handle inbound calls and emails; assist with outreach to resolve inquires.
• Other duties as needed.
