Job summary

Pathpoint is seeking a Billing Support Associate to own the Ascend billing workflow, verify payments, and ensure platform integrity. You’ll respond to agent and insured billing questions, manage defects, and coordinate with FinOps and Ops teams. Remote-first environment with competitive benefits.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in insurance billing or premium accounting, strong written communication, and experience with Salesforce-based policy systems. Advanced Excel and BI exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in insurance billing, AR, premium accounting, or payment operations.
• Excellent written communication; ability to explain invoices to agents clearly.
• Experience with a Salesforce-based agency management/policy system.
• Ability to identify bugs and write reproducible reports.
• Knowledge of premium billing mechanics and related taxes/fees.

Responsibilities

• Manage payment-link and portal access issues for agents and insureds.
• Maintain internal logs of known issues and workarounds.
• Log platform defects with reproducible detail and track resolution.
• Triages Ascend billing issues; determine root causes.
• Investigate invoice generation failures and sync/integration breaks.
• Research payment application failures and refunds.
• Handle cancellation notices and dunning misfires.
• Proactively communicate ETAs to agents.
