Job summary

SGS Consulting seeks a Billing Specialist to manage contracts and Profit Centers, serving as the primary billing contact. You will review contracts for fees, reimbursements, and revenue streams, identify amendments, and ensure accurate monthly invoices.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in billing, familiarity with PeopleSoft, SAP, Coupa, and strong MS Office skills. Hybrid of independent work and team collaboration is valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related experience in billing or contracts.
• Experience with billing systems (PeopleSoft, SAP, Coupa) preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; HS diploma with equivalent experience acceptable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a workload of contracts and Profit Centers; act as key billing contact.
• Review contracts for billing specifics: fixed fees, reimbursements, pass-throughs.
• Identify amendments and escalations; update billing system.
• Produce timely monthly customer invoices for fixed and variable components.
• Process credit memos and billing adjustments.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts related to billing, including unbilled revenue and deferred revenue.
• Ensure internal control compliance for key billing processes.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Admins to clarify data and obtain approvals.
• Utilize software such as PeopleSoft, Coupa, SAP, Excel, Word, Insight Portal.
• Reconcile interfaced systems between Coupa, PeopleSoft, and SAP.
• Provide excellent customer service via phone and email.
• Cross-train with department; assist with special projects.
• Support continuous process improvement by sharing best practices.
