Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Data Entry Clerk - Billing II to support our billing operations in Wood Dale, IL. This full-time, weekday role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Central.

You will research and enter missing demographic data for accessions, perform data entry tasks, and educate customers on providing complete billing information. The position requires 2+ years of high-volume data entry experience (medical field preferred), typing at 50+ WPM, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher).
• 2+ years of recent work experience in high volume data entry (preferably medical field).
• Typing speed of at least 50+ WPM.
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to use remote meeting/learning applications and video conferencing.
• HIPAA compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Research, obtain and enter missing information for completion of accessions.
• Conduct data entry for completion of accessions.
• Demonstrates competency in eligibility, billing and receivable systems and applications.
• Educates external customers on providing complete billing information and avoiding additional contacts.
• Inform customers of billing problems and resolutions.
• Make outbound calls to clients, patients, carriers and others to obtain missing information.
• Answer inbound calls to resolve account inquiries or issues.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all transactions.
• Generate and distribute reports to obtain missing information.
• Report problems and denial trends to management including PHI breaches.
