Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service in a billing or medical billing setting.
• 1+ years of billing knowledge, data entry and insurance payor knowledge.
• Proficient with Windows PC applications and keyboard navigation.
• Reliable with ability to meet work schedules and training requirements.
• Successful completion of new hire training and demonstrated proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Research, obtain and enter missing information for accessions.
• Perform data entry for completion of accessions.
• Demonstrate competency in eligibility, billing and receivable systems.
• Educate customers on providing complete billing information to avoid delays.
• Notify customers of billing issues and resolutions as appropriate.
• Make outbound calls to clients/patients to obtain missing info and answer inquiries.
• Respond to account inquiries via phone or written correspondence as needed.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all transactions.
• Generate and distribute reports to clients to obtain missing information.
