Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Billing Analyst to manage end-to-end client billing processes, including prebills, invoices, and month-end tasks. You will ensure compliance with client guidelines, draft various invoice formats, and coordinate changes across matters.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with billing systems (Aderant/Elite preferred), and the ability to work in a fast-paced, confidential environment. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred with concentration in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• Minimum two years of billing experience in a law-firm or professional organization.
• Experience with client Document Management Systems (DMS).
• Ability to create spreadsheets, manipulate data and generate reports.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for senior management.
• Experience interfacing with senior management, vendors, and client staff.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Aderant or Elite/Elite 3E is strongly preferred.
• 10-key calculator proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute prebills/proformas and assist with month end processing.
• Prepare attorney/client invoices including fixed fee, batch, retainer, or contingency.
• Ensure accuracy of work product and appropriate bill formats.
• Coordinate client/matter changes and billing guidelines compliance.
• Perform time entry narrative edits and proofreading.
• Assist customers with billing inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
• Review and edit time entries for guideline compliance.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets to monitor various functions.
• Handle special projects and ensure client needs are met.
