Job summary

Sunstates Security, headquartered in Raleigh, NC, is seeking an Accounting Operations Specialist to support AP, AR, billing, and overall accounting workflow. You will process invoices, manage billing documentation, and assist with month-end close and reconciliations.

The role requires 3–5 years in accounting-related roles, strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting, accounts receivable/payable, billing operations, or bookkeeping experience.
• Proficiency in financial and operational reporting, including advanced Excel skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to meet deadlines and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and process customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Process vendor invoices and verify coding and approvals.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Assist with tax, compliance, and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Payroll, Operations, and field teams.
