Job summary

Proteus, in partnership with Woodlake High School, provides outreach, assessment, vocational exploration, and job search assistance for the In-School Youth program.

Responsibilities include counseling, developing individual service plans, case management, and coordinating with schools and employers. Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is required, with significant travel to local offices and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field, OR four (4) years of directly related experience and/or training; OR a combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Moderate computer skills for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and maintains contact with youth, schools, employers, and community agencies for In-School Youth opportunities.
• Provides supportive services to at-risk youth and makes referrals as needed.
• Conducts initial assessment interviews and interprets testing results.
• Places youth in subsidized and unsubsidized employment.
• Provides job search assistance to participants.
• Assesses skill levels and service needs, and determines supportive services.
