Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Bolingbrook, IL seeks a Youth Program Support staff to work with youth in a dynamic nonprofit setting. The role emphasizes building trust, guiding youth toward goals, and fostering a caring atmosphere.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and bilingual English/Spanish fluency, plus strong interpersonal skills and reliable transportation. You’ll participate in trainings, document progress, and collaborate with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with minors.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Interact with youth to develop trusting, supportive relationships and help achieve identified goals.
• Provide youth leadership during programs and create a warm, safe atmosphere.
• Perform all duties in alignment with NYAP’s mission, values and philosophies.
• Complete relevant training and all required documentation promptly.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward youth, families, and staff, and work well independently or as part of a team.
