Shankle Law Firm in Charlotte, NC seeks a bilingual Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant (English/Spanish) to join the team. You will support paralegals, manage case files, and serve Spanish-speaking clients with care and clarity.

Responsibilities include starting new matters, moving cases through forms, mediations, and correspondence, and ensuring timely communication with clients and insurance carriers. In-office full-time role with benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written (required).
• Office, customer service, or legal experience; law firm or workers' comp experience is a plus, but training provided.
• Strong organization skills and good attention to detail.
• Patient and kind with clients who may be stressed or in pain.
• Comfortable with computers and learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Get new cases started by sending paperwork, setting up matters, and uploading initial documents.
• Keep cases moving by handling forms, mediator designations, and record requests.
• Assist clients, schedule calls, explain forms, and track benefits post-settlement.
• Wrap up cases with signed settlements, post-settlement tasks, and client follow-ups.
