Job summary

Shankle Law Firm in Charlotte, NC seeks a bilingual legal assistant (English/Spanish) for our Workers' Compensation team. You will organize cases from intake to settlement, assisting paralegals and serving as a friendly voice for Spanish-speaking clients.

The role emphasizes organization, customer service, and comfort with Microsoft 365. Monday–Friday in office with a supportive team and opportunities to grow in workers' compensation law.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Office, customer service, or legal experience; law firm or workers' comp experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person.
• Strong organization skills and good attention to detail.
• Patient and kind with clients who may be stressed or in pain.
• Comfortable with computers and learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Get new cases started: send paperwork, set up matters, upload forms to NCIC portal.
• Keep cases moving: manage forms, file designations, support English/Spanish interrogatories.
• Take care of clients: call when mediation/hearing is scheduled, explain forms, update benefits.
