Job summary

Child and Family Guidance Center in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Part-Time Bilingual Waiting Room Attendant to help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming space for children and families.

The role focuses on supervising activities, guiding interactions, assisting with check-in, and keeping materials neatly arranged while protecting client confidentiality.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm–8:00 pm, fully onsite, offering a supportive team and opportunities for growth within CFGC.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Experience with children and families in medical/mental health settings is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and speech.
• Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and order in the waiting room for children.
• Engage children with age-appropriate activities and supervise play.
• Assist with check-in of clients and guests in the evening if needed.
• Ensure materials and bulletin board projects are organized and stored properly.
• Notify assigned therapist or supervisor of any concerning behavior.
• Act as a positive, welcoming presence for families and staff.
