Job summary

The Arc Prince George's County seeks a Staff Development Specialist to lead the New Staff Orientation and related training activities. You will coordinate with the Staff Development Manager and ensure new hires complete required in-person and online trainings, including CPR and First Aid where applicable.

You will maintain training records, support LMS operations, and help managers track progress while supporting ongoing staff development and program quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2–5 years of experience conducting training.
• Experience developing curriculums.
• Knowledge of LMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate training activities with the Staff Development Manager.
• Facilitate biweekly, four-day New Staff Orientation, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Monitor training progress, maintain records, and communicate completion requirements to employees and supervisors.
• Update training databases, track attendance, and maintain communication logs.
• Notify Human Resources when new hires qualify for bonuses.
• Conduct training sessions and ensure a high-quality learning experience.
