Job summary

The Arc Prince George’s County is seeking an Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in community-based job settings. You will train job-search skills, assist with resume and interview preparation, and coordinate placements with a range of employers across hospitals, schools, retail, and government sectors.

You will also maintain employer relationships, document progress in EHR, and help individuals reach competitive, inclusive employment goals.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent; two years in community-based job placement with disabilities preferred.
• Proven ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and respond to emergencies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Must have valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Teach job-seeking, resume, interview, retention, and workplace skills.
• Provide direct support contacts monthly to individuals.
• Develop employment opportunities based on interests and supports.
• Market and represent services to employers; build new relationships.
• Maintain accurate employer and lead records; participate in job fairs.
