Mission Action in San Francisco is seeking a Full-Time Outreach Worker for the Housing Rights Program to serve tenants in the Mission District and surrounding areas. You will conduct tenant outreach, enroll new SRO tenants, provide counseling, and coordinate with community partners.

Formación

• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• 2+ years of organizer/tenant rights advocacy experience preferred.
• Experience working with immigrant communities desirable.
• Evenings and weekends availability may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct tenant outreach in SRO buildings and provide educational materials.
• Promote and enroll new SRO tenants (families and individuals).
• Perform intake and housing counseling for low-income tenants.
• Advocate for tenants by coordinating with outside agencies on code enforcement and eviction prevention.
• Update client housing information in databases and file documents per policy.
• Coordinate leadership development and KYR workshops and outreach activities.
• Plan tenant participation at meetings, clinics, and community events.
• Support campaigns related to tenant needs and community organizing.
• Coordinate outreach scheduling and mentor outreach workers.
• Establish relationships with tenants and building supervisors.
