Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) is hiring a substitute teacher to assist in daily classroom activities under a senior teacher's supervision. You will engage children, support health and safety, and help with transitions and routines at RCMA centers in Florida.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CPR and Pediatric First Aid certifications, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities are a plus. Fingerprint background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• CPR and Pediatric First Aid certifications required.
• High School diploma or GED; further education preferred.
• Community member of the served area is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily activities and setup.
• Support health, safety and educational needs of children.
• Help plan and supervise activities addressing emotional, cognitive, social and physical development.
• Model positive behavior and redirection techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment and supervise indoors and outdoors.
• Greet families, help sign-in/out, and encourage parent involvement.
• Participate in trainings and adhere to RCMA policies and DCF requirements.
