Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) is seeking a School Age Tutor to support student learning in after-school programs. Qualifications

• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Up to one year of experience as a School Age Tutor.
• Must successfully complete Level 2 fingerprint background screening.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reads and becomes familiar with after-school program goals, philosophy, objectives, and agency policies & procedures.
• Establishes classroom routines and procedures.
• Formulates student behavior standards and addresses inappropriate behavior.
• Selects, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates learning activities and daily lessons.
• Maintains class records and individual student progress.
• Maintains a warm, secure, affectionate climate for school-age children.
• Provides a safe and healthy environment for school-age children.
• Establishes relationships with families and supports meaningful parent involvement.
• Stimulates thinking skills and language development in school-age children.
• Assists with homework, worksheets, and school assignments.
• Serves as a positive role model.
• Assists with recruitment and enrollment of students.
• Participates in training and career development activities.
• Attends staff meetings as required.
