Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) is seeking a substitute teacher to assist daily activities in our on-site early childhood classrooms. In the absence of a lead teacher, you support developmentally appropriate activities and ensure safety and supervision.

Qualifications include being part of the community served, bilingual English/Spanish, and current CPR and Pediatric First-Aid certification. High school or GED in progress is preferred; fingerprint background checks apply.

• Member of the community being served; farm worker background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the full-time teacher or other experienced staff in delivering developmentally appropriate early childhood activities.
• Assist with health, safety, and educational needs of children following classroom policies and procedures.
• Help implement activities, set up materials, and interact with children to support learning and development.
• Model positive guidance techniques and supervise children to ensure safety at all times.
• Assist with signing children in/out and welcoming parents; participate in trainings and staff meetings.
