Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the team during the manager’s absence and on opposing shifts, focusing on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

Sales specialist training, assistant manager certification, and RSS certification are required.
Certified Parts Professional Certification and ASE certification are desirable.
Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure program execution.
Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Assist in hiring by recruiting, screening interviews, and selecting qualified team members.
Ensure telephone etiquette and timely processing of orders and transfers.
Oversee returns, exchanges, and refunds with accurate payment handling.
Perform opening/closing duties and secure the store per policy.
