Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities. You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and related disorders for children up to 21 years old, with ongoing collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, completion of CCC-SLP, and Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CCC-SLP fellowship completed.
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy in patients' homes or daytime facilities, 0–21 years old, 2+ times per week as ordered by physicians.
• Determine degree and type of speech-language impairment using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and instruct team in therapy modalities.
• Modify care plans to meet therapy goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• Supervise Clinical Fellows or Assistants if you have 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
