Job summary

Qualifications

• Understanding and respect for diverse backgrounds and how it affects learning.
• Awareness of cognitive, communicative, physical, social, and emotional needs.
• Knowledge of PBIS and RtI and applying these principles.
• Familiarity with laws, confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Strong oral and written communication with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to collect, record, and report performance and behavioral data securely.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with physical needs and supervision in various settings.
• Observe, record, and chart behavior in collaboration with licensed staff.
• Support group activities and IEP-based tutoring under guidance of teachers.
• Prepare classroom materials and organize resources for instruction.
• Supervise students in hallways, lunchroom, playground, and on field trips.
• Assist with technology and instructional materials related to IEP accommodations.
