Job summary

KACE Company is hiring Linguists to perform real-time and recorded transcription from Spanish into English to support sensitive law enforcement work. You will produce accurate, court-ready translations, identify slang, and communicate efficiently with law enforcement personnel.

The role favors seasoned linguists who can work independently and uphold high accuracy standards. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of translation experience in Spanish.
• Knowledge of Spanish colloquialisms and slang.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Must score 90%+ on APOLLO assessments.
• English/Spanish proficiency at Level 3+ in all modes.
• Ability to type 45+ WPM.

Responsibilities

• Listen to live or recorded Spanish communications and produce synopses, translations, and transcriptions.
• Communicate pertinent information to law enforcement clients in a timely manner.
• Build a master list of slang terms and codes for the project.
• Maintain a voice library and project reference materials.
• Produce court-ready, clearly formatted transcriptions per standards.
