micro1 is seeking Bilingual (Spanish) Benefits Counselors for a remote, short-term project. You will evaluate AI-derived responses about government services topics, using your Spanish fluency and benefits knowledge to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usefulness. No AI experience required; domain expertise matters.

The role is contract-based, 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility and quick start availability. You’ll contribute by drafting rubrics and providing actionable feedback to improve AI

Responsibilities

micro1 is looking for Bilingual (Spanish) Benefits Counselors to help evaluate and improve AI systems on government services topics. You’ll use your Spanish fluency and benefits experience to check that questions sound like real Spanish-speaking residents and that answers are correct, clear, and useful. Accuracy comes first. No AI experience is needed; your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

1. Review sample questions in Spanish and English and flag any that don’t sound like what real people ask.
2. Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer in your area of expertise (Medicare, passports, veterans benefits, student loans, or National Parks).
3. Evaluate AI-generated answers in Spanish against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, mistranslations, and wording that is unclear or unnatural.
4. Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.

Required Qualifications

1. Native or professional Spanish and English
2. Experience in at least one of: Medicare, passports, veterans benefits, student loans or financial aid, or National Park services
3. 1+ years counseling or assisting the public in that area (benefits counselor, case manager, community health worker, or similar)
4. US-based
5. Able to start quickly and commit 10-20 hours/week, with more availability toward the end of the project
6. Clear, precise writing in both languages

Nice to Have

1. Experience with more than one of the areas above
2. Experience interpreting or translating professionally
3. Experience creating guides, FAQs, or training materials in Spanish
4. Experience helping a diverse range of clients, including rural and low-literacy communities
