Job summary

IBM Global Sales seeks a Staff Solutions Engineer to partner with Account Executives, surfacing business needs and delivering technical designs. You will drive adoption, build trusted relationships, and help customers realize value from Confluent technology.

The role requires cloud experience, hands-on deployment, and the ability to influence at all levels. You will engage across LATAM regions, present effectively, and guide customers through complex architectures while coordinating with product

Qualifications

• Portuguese Speaking (BiLingual).
• Extensive experience as a Solutions Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with Event-Driven architectures, data integration/processing, and data warehousing.
• Cloud architecture, migrations, deployment and application development exposure.
• Experience with automation, GitOps and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or SQL.
• Technical certifications in Cloud Development/Architecture and Data Engineering/Integration.
• Demonstrated self-starter mindset and willingness to tackle hard technical problems.
• Outstanding presentation and communications capabilities, including executive-level delivery.
• Experience working with LATAM Countries.

Responsibilities

• Advance data streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live.
• Lead technical proofs of concept and enterprise engagements.
• Conduct discovery and whiteboard sessions for new use-cases.
• Provide thought leadership through technical talks and workshops.
• Guide customers with hands-on help to mature deployments.
• Analyze consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering; advocate for customers across ecosystems.
• Forge strong relationships with customer stakeholders and partners.
