Job summary

Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist – Infant Toddler to support eligible infants and toddlers in home and community settings. The role involves evaluation, program planning, caregiver coaching, and team collaboration to achieve family-identified outcomes.

The district serves a diverse student population with extensive language needs and requires strong collaboration with families and a transdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• SLP Credential from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment or CFY considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and screening visits at the family’s home, child care or other natural setting.
• Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to serve eligible infants and toddlers.
• Participate in team evaluations to determine eligibility of referred children.
• Develop IFSPs with families based on family-identified priorities.
• Deliver home and community-based intervention using a coaching model for caregivers.
• Provide and seek coaching to team members in service of all children in the program.
• Complete documentation for accountability, billing, and communication with other providers.
• Coordinate Family Service including management of the intervention process and referrals.
