Job summary

The HealthCare Connection, Inc. (THCC) is seeking a School Based Patient Services Specialist to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and schedule appointments at our school health centers.

This role supports patients through forms and paperwork and collaborates with the Finance team on balances. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in a clinical or medical office setting, proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with EHRs (NextGen a plus), and strong communication

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems.
• Familiarity with EHR systems; NextGen experience is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment with interruptions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resume must be attached to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients upon arrival.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Collect payments and co-pays for services.
• Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments.
• Assist patients with forms and paperwork; work with Finance on patient balances.
• Support administrative and reporting tasks as needed.
