Job summary

The HealthCare Connection (THCC) is seeking a School Based Patient Services Specialist to warmly welcome patients at the School Health Center and guide them through registration and front-desk processes. You will verify demographics, insurance details, and collect payments in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a clinical or medical office setting (front desk, registration, or scheduling roles preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems
• Familiarity with EHR systems; NextGen experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Resume must be attached to be considered

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients upon arrival
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Collect payments and co-pays for services
• Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments
• Assist patients with forms and paperwork; Work with the Finance department regarding patient balances
• Support administrative and reporting tasks as needed
