Universal Processing LLC is hiring a Sales Specialist (Merchant Consultant) in New York, NY. You will be the brand ambassador, driving client engagement and presenting payment solutions to merchants.

The role emphasizes goal orientation, resilience, and people skills to build lasting client relationships. The position requires bilingual ability (Mandarin-Chinese or Vietnamese or Spanish), 2–3 years of sales experience, and authorization to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the US at time of hire (E-Verify)
• Full bilingual proficiency in Mandarin-Chinese OR Vietnamese OR Spanish is required
• 2-3 years of sales experience
• Previous Merchant Service industry experience is a plus
• Strong communication, critical thinking, detail orientation and analytical abilities
• Self-motivated and driven by results

Responsibilities

• Generate leads, conduct cold calls, and prospect potential clients
• Conduct in-person meetings to present payment, merchant financing and marketing solutions
• Perform pricing analysis by reviewing client statements and prepare proposals
• Follow up with potential merchants detailing product features and terms
• Close sales in a timely and effective manner
• Develop new lead sources and expand within existing client base
• Build relationships with referrals and affiliates
• Create and implement marketing programs to increase sales
