Job summary

empower is seeking a Retirement Plan Counselor to educate and enroll participants in defined contribution plans across the U.S. You will conduct on-site and virtual sessions, leveraging Empower’s tools to drive plan enrollment and deferrals while supporting relationship management with sponsors and stakeholders.

This role requires travel (50–60%) and FINRA licenses, with strong presentation and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• 2–4 years relevant financial services experience
• Bilingual Spanish skills required
• Strong presentation skills required
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
• Strong relationship building and territory management skills
• Overnight travel required
• Overall, 50-60% travel
• FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 registrations within established timelines required
• FINRA fingerprinting required

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver on-site and virtual education sessions
• Drive enrollment and deferral actions
• Meet service levels and achieve business results
• Complete reporting of meetings and outcomes
• Build relationships with plan sponsors and stakeholders
• Manage meeting schedule and travel arrangements
• Provide feedback on materials and strategies
• Attend client meetings with service teams
• May participate in finalist presentations for new prospects
