Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Iowa is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift leadership in the absence of management.

You will lead the store team in delivering excellent service to retail and professional customers, oversee phone handling, order processing, returns, and merchandising tasks, and ensure compliance with schedules and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills
• RSS Certification or ability to obtain RSS Certification
• Retail sales experience in auto parts preferred
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge a plus
• Fluency in Spanish desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead store team to provide excellent customer service for retail and professional customers
• Oversee telephone handling and order transfers; ensure timely processing and shipment notifications
• Ensure returns, exchanges, refunds, and merchandise processing are handled efficiently
• Manage opening/closing duties, money handling, deposits, and security measures
• Assist with schedule adherence and shift leadership in absence of management
