Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and team in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role may involve shift management when managers are unavailable. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Essential duties include leading staff to provide outstanding service, supervising service programs, handling store communications, and ensuring accurate processing of orders, transfers, and returns.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and execute on service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returned merchandise.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before it leaves the store and communicate Zipline messages; delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, secure money/deposits, and verify security measures.
• All other duties as assigned.
