Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will also assume shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant or Store Manager.

You will lead team members to deliver excellent service to retail and professional customers while ensuring efficient store operations and accurate handling of orders, returns, and deposits.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure execution of customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
• Invoicing of all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules, proper clock-in/out, and compliance with company policy.
• Perform all opening/closing duties, end-of-day procedures, deposits, and security checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
