Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in the United States (Kinston, NC) is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistants in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role may involve shift management in absence of store leadership.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include leading a team in serving customers, coordinating store programs, handling transfers and online orders, and ensuring accurate invoicing and returns.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• RSS Certification required or ability to obtain.
• Retail sales experience preferred, ideally in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge desired.
• ASE Certification preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure adherence to programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Answer phone calls according to policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub/store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges to ensure accuracy and proper refunds.
• Ensure all merchandise invoices before leaving the store, including core charges and warranties.
• Communicate Zipline messages and assign Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
• Monitor schedule adherence and clock-ins/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures; secure money/deposits and deposits as needed; ensure security and vehicle safety.
• All other duties as assigned.
