Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and assistants in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role may assume shift management when managers are absent, and bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include leading showroom service, overseeing customer programs, processing POS transactions, handling BOP/ship-to-store orders, and ensuring accurate invoicing and security procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders and contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure, using the outside purchase ledger.
• Process and stage returns, issue refunds correctly, and manage exchange transactions.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members follow the posted schedule and clock in/out per policy; perform day end procedures and secure deposits.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties and ensure security of building and deliveries.
• All other duties as assigned.
