Job summary

UCB Inc. is seeking a bilingual Onward Care Coordinator for its Rare Disease Patient Support team. This remote role aligns with West Coast hours (PST) and supports Spanish- and English-speaking patients and caregivers through their treatment journeys.

You will provide non-clinical education, help navigate insurance coverage and affordability options, and connect patients with healthcare providers for clinical questions. This is a high-touch, patient-centric role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of patient-facing clinical experience; or 4 years plus 2 years industry experience as RN, Doctor of Pharmacy, or similarly qualified clinical professional.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Willing and able to work remotely during West Coast PST hours.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for Spanish- and English-speaking patients and caregivers.
• Deliver personalized support using empathy, active listening, and behavioral science skills.
• Explain insurance coverage, access pathways, and affordability support options.
• Provide non-clinical education and refer medical questions to healthcare providers.
• Help patients prepare for productive conversations with their healthcare providers.
• Follow privacy, safety, adverse-event reporting, and program operating requirements.
