Job summary

Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a Bilingual Recovery Counselor (ACT Willow) in Chicago, IL. This role supports clients through English and Spanish, delivering recovery counseling, case management, and community-based services.

The counselor assesses needs, coordinates recovery plans, documents care in EMR, and may provide on-call coverage. The position requires a driver’s license, ability to work a Monday–Friday schedule, and a dedication to trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or related human service field.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) under the Nurse Practice Act [225 ILCS 65] or related certification.
• CRSS certification through IAODAPCA or IAODAPCA credentials.
• Experience in mental health or substance use treatment settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients in English and Spanish across home, community, and office visits.
• Coordinate individual recovery plans with clients, families, and care providers.
• Complete daily progress notes and documentation per agency policy.
• Maintain MAR documentation and EMR records accurately and promptly.
• Provide crisis/on-call coverage and crisis intervention as needed.
• Assist clients with entitlements and housing, budgeting, and community resources.
• Support independent living skills, coping strategies, and trauma-informed care.
• Advocate for clients and coordinate multi-disciplinary care with team.
