Job summary

Pasona Inc. in Michigan seeks a Procurement / Purchasing Coordinator to coordinate purchasing activities, pricing, orders, and deliveries with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires business-level Japanese (JLPT N2+ preferred), strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently, with occasional supplier visits related to automotive components.

Qualifications

• Business-level Japanese communication required; JLPT N2+ preferred.
• Experience coordinating purchasing activities with suppliers and internal teams.
• Experience in procurement or purchasing preferred; sales background considered.
• Automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with automotive components (seals, fasteners) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate with Japanese suppliers regarding pricing, orders, and delivery schedules.
• Support price negotiations and help resolve supplier issues.
• Respond to inquiries and follow up on outstanding purchasing matters.
• Participate in supplier meetings by phone, video, and in person.
• Maintain accurate purchasing information and strong working relationships.
• Visit supplier facilities as needed.
