Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking an Entry Support Staff member who is bilingual in English and Spanish. You will be the primary in-person and phone contact, assisting customers with medical, food, cash, and childcare benefits while navigating a fast-paced office environment in North Bend.

The role requires resilience, data-entry accuracy, and the ability to work in a trauma-informed, team-oriented setting with growth opportunities within ODHS.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Two years of reception or call center experience with high-volume data work.
• Associate degree in Behavioral/Social Science or related field with six months of relevant experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a welcoming environment as families interact with the department.
• Greet and assist customers and colleagues through a trauma-informed lens.
• Work within a team that rotates tasks to support office needs.
• Assist customers applying for programs such as medical, TANF, DV services, SNAP, ERDC, and long-term care.
• Obtain initial information to provide case updates and access community resources.
• Complete high-volume work using multiple computer programs and document procedures.
